Following the success of the James Brown biopic, Get on Up, Mick Jagger is continuing the story of The Godfather of Soul with a full-fledged documentary.

Deadline is reporting that HBO has secured the North American rights to Mr. Dynamite: The Rise Of James Brown. The documentary was directed by Academy Award-winner Alex Gibney, who chronicles much of the R&B/funk legend’s early years upward to his pinnacle successes.

The Rolling Stones frontman serves as a producer for the documentary and is also one of the many subjects to be interviewed. Other musicians in the segment include Public Enemy’s Chuck D and Questlove of The Roots.

Released at the top of last month, the Universal Pictures’ biopic has been a moderate success and achieved much critical acclaim.

The documentary is set to air on October 27.
