The 8th annual Roots Picnic in Philadelphia is looking like one of 2015’s must go to events. This year’s headliners include A$AP Rocky, Erykah Badu, The Roots (of course), Phantogram and Rea Sremmurd.

Billboard announced this year’s performers, which also include Bishop Nehru, Raury, DJ Mustard and Afrika Bambaataa.

“I think this is one of our most diverse lineups to date,” said Roots co-founder Questlove. “I am looking forward to seeing the discovery process. That is what excites me each year. Seeing someone who bought a ticket for one act, discover the music of an unexpected artist. I’m sure there will be some A$AP Rocky fans that will dig Hiatus Kaiyote or some Weeknd fans that will discover Chronixx and vice versa.”

The festival’s larger lineup is a response to its growing popularity. “After last years sold out success,” says Shawn Gee, manager of The Roots and executive producer of the festival, “We mapped out a plan to grow the footprint to meet the overwhelming demand. We’ve added a 3rd stage which is located in a tent adjacent to the lots where we traditionally held the event. This opens up more area for the fans, allows us to book more bands, and increases our capacity by up to 50 percent.”

The 2015 Roots Picnic goes down Saturday, May 30 at the Festival Pier in Philadelphia. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 13 at noon, right here.
