Hip-Hop power couple Papoose and Remy Ma recently professed their love for one another in the form of a birthday celebration that borrowed from a Eddie Murphy classic that has lost its place in regular discussion.

The abrasive lyricist celebrated his 37th birthday last week with a special Harlem Nights themed bash where he dressed up like Eddie Murphy’s character and Remy assumed the role of Della Reese from the storied 1980s film. In fact, all guests in were required to don 1920s style attire, and that included Auto-Tuner/songwriter Ron Browz and various members of Papoose’s family.

The trend of stars modeling their birthday parties after movies has become a popular and entertaining trend in recent year. Alicia Keys and her husband Swizz Beatz just reenacted House Party with nearly all the members of the cast and Snoop Dogg just treated his son like the Prince of Zamunda with a Coming to America style shindig.

Check out the pictures of Papoose and Remy Ma getting their Harlem Nights on in the gallery below. It with great pleasure that we report that everyone left with their pinky toes still in place.
