Rape is about as bad as it gets as far as heinous acts goes. But why anyone would recount the tale on wax is a wonder of monumental proportion.
In a recently leaked song by Rich Homie Quan, titled “I Made It,” the ATL rapper explicitly talks about raping a girl.
This particular line is damning:
“I don’t want your ho, just want that cookie from her – she tried to resist so I took it from her.”
That lyric is presumably about physically assaulting the female subject, because he couldn’t possibly be literally aligning himself with the Black Panthers.
But seriously, guys. How expendable are women that we so easily treat rape as something pervasive and normalized? Maybe Quan never intended this song to see the light of day considering it was in a big batch of leaked songs—but nevertheless it did.
Sound off in the comments. Do we even want to hear the whole song?
