Raekwon‘s debut album, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx…, is a masterpiece. He knows this, you know this, but we can’t get enough of the Wu-Tang rapper explaining the science behind its creation. 

For instance, this is what he said about the album’s lead single, “Glaciers Of Ice.”

“We felt it was a great representation of us. Being one of the records that was one of my first singles off my album, we wanted to be street,” Raekwon told Hip-Hop Wired. “We felt like that beat was stupid. The ‘Glaciers of Ice’ sound—it just sounded like a f*cking fiesta for ni**as that’s holding hammers, ya know.”
