The NYPD are on the lookout for a man who robbed a Queens bank Monday (Jun. 29). The suspect shouldn’t be hard to find, considering he performed the crime while sitting in a wheelchair.

As reported by NY1, the bizarre crime took place in the Astoria section of the borough, right in the middle of the afternoon.

Just after 2 p.m, the man arrived at a teller’s window at the Santander Bank dressed in a grey sweatsuit while in the wheelchair. The man, whose face can be clearly seen in a still shot in the surveillance video, handed the teller a note demanding money. The teller gave the man over $1,200 in cash and he made off onto

The teller gave the man over $1,200 in cash and he made off onto Broadway heading westbound. Police also described the man as clean shaven aside from mentioning his getaway vehicle.

According to local reports, the man used the wheelchair to escape after obtaining the cash.
