By now, you have had to seen the promotional vehicles for LeBron James’ proper acting debut in the upcoming film, Trainwreck. But the “greatest player on the planet” isn’t the only NBA star who is getting notable camera time in the movie.

Amar’e Stoudemire also makes a pivotal cameo in Trainwreck when Dr. Aaron Conners (played by SNL great Bill Hader) brings the movie’s title to life when he’s about to conduct surgery on the battered big man and gets called out for picking the wrong knee.

The raunchy rom-com also stars Amy Schumer, who plays a proud alcoholic whose days as a single lady are being threatened by actual love.

“We would throw new stuff at him that wasn’t in the script and he would just be…very ready,” Schumer says of Amar’e Stoudemire’s appearance. “And he could just keep up with [me and Bill] which, I guess any five-year-old could do but he was great at it.”

Contrary to Dr. Conners’ daily operation, Amar’e Stoudemire’s life is on the right track, having just signed a new deal with the Miami Heat. Look for Trainwreck and South Beach to keep the star athlete’s celebrity thriving.

Trainwreck is directed by none other than Judd Apatow and opens in theaters this Friday, July 17. Watch Amar’e Stoudemire’s featurette in the video above.
