This coming October will mark the 13th anniversary of legendary Run-DMC member Jam Master Jay’s unsolved murder.

Although his turntable virtuosity is gone, adidas is ensuring it is never forgotten by greenlighting the Pro Model sneaker.

The collaboration can be credited to Clicks and Adam Padilla, the latter being the founder and top artist of New York creative agency BrandFire. The designs were inspired by Darryl “DMC” McDaniels and Eric “Shake” James, both from Clicks.

The Jam Master Jay Pro Label will be soon available in two flavors: the Superstar Gold Edition and the Pro Model Gold Edition and a commemorative t-shirt with a custom Jam Master Jay design and record crate shoebox were also created for the collection.

Padilla isn’t new to this; he’s actually true to this, having previously designed the official logo for Tom Brady, TB 12 and working extensively as the Creative Director of the New Jersey Nets from 2005-2007.

Check out the designs of Jam Master Jay’s new adidas sneakers down below. The kicks were manufactured in extremely limited quanties and are only available at Clicks in Shorewood, WI.
