Nicki Minaj stars as a local stylist named “Draya” in the forthcoming Barbershop sequel. Needless to say, she’s getting much burn in the latest trailer for Barbershop 3: The Next Cut.
But really, the ensemble cast is full of talent—Ice Cube, Cedric the Entertainer, Regina Hall, Anthony Anderson, Eve, JB Smoove, Lamorne Morris, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Common, among others—and are on display here. Police brutality, gentrification and neighborhood—along with plenty of jokes—are the themes here.
