After months of promoting and building a buzz for their latest original series, FX finally debuted The People Vs. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story last night (Feb. 2). The highly anticipated true story of the infamous double homicide many believe the former NFL superstar (portrayed by Cuba Gooding Jr.) committed that in turn led to the “trial of a century” got the proper TV treatment.
Beginning on the night of June 12, 1994 when the bodies of both Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman were found, the series gives us insight into everything that went on behind the scenes of the investigation. But does watching how the trial watched around the world got underway make for good television?
