Netflix has granted your wishes. “The Punisher” will be getting his own show.
After stealing the show in the second season of Marvel’s Daredevil, “The Punisher” will be getting his own series on Netflix.
Rumors and demands for a Punisher show began swirling just weeks after Daredevil Season 2 premiered in March 2016.
TV Line reported the official word:
Jon Bernthal is set to reprise his role as The Punisher in Netflix’s latest Marvel offshoot.
The streaming service has officially commissioned a spinoff focused on Daredevil’s big bad, TVLine has confirmed. Hannibal scribe Steve Lightfoot will serve as executive producer.
The spinoff will mark Netflix’s sixth Marvel series, following Daredevil, Jessica Jones and upcoming releases Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders.
Netflix confirmed by dropping a teaser on Twitter Friday morning (April 29).
