Mateen Forced His Way Into The Club After Shootout With Cops
After a shootout with a police officer outside of the Pulse nightclub around 2 a.m., Mateen went inside at took hostages. Mateen was eventually killed by SWAT team members who stormed the club to save the hostages. Early reports say that even hardened SWAT veterans were shaken by what they witnessed.
