Sandoval (David Fumero) still remains under entrapment as he attempts to sabotage the Lobos case. Angela wants to review the case files from other jurisdictions against Lobos to further build their case, while Saxe (Shane Johnson) eagerly pursues the hitman who tried to kill Lobos in hopes of building a future case against The Jimenez brothers.

Sandoval needs to squash the case, and he will get no help from Lobos or his network. Sandoval meets with Hugo (Gabriel Sloyer) to tell him of the pressure from his team, and asks for help to no avail. Hugo tells Sandoval to get the job done or else he will have the only problem on his hands.

Saxe identifies the hitman who tried to kill Lobos, and he arranges a meeting at the MCC. Saxe relays his findings to Sandoval. Sandoval, outwardly pleased, makes one call to apparently put the clamps on this investigation. The Mexican hitman was found stabbed to death at the MCC. Saxe accuses Angela of redistributing the evidence against Lobos to the individual precincts at the NYPD, effectively delaying their case by months. Did Sandoval make these calls or were there external forces at work?

Tommy keeps avoiding any interactions with Ghost, including phone calls, texts and conversing with Tasha (Naturi Naughton). Tasha meets with Tommy to give him a check for his part in the now closed portion of the operation. Tommy and Tasha have their gripe session, venting about lies told to one another. Whether it was Tasha’s role in getting Kanan locked up, or Tommy’s role in Ghost and Angela’s affair, they soon realize that only Ghost had his best interests in mind. Some choice words were delivered on both sides, and we don’t know if Tasha and Tommy’s relationship will ever be the same.

The operation suffers from a diminished product flow and his primeras, notably Jae Shin, are fed up.Tommy can massage that relationship by offering “a couple of extra keys on the house,” but Lobos isn’t so persuadable. Tommy meets with Hugo to confront him about killing his dog and threatening his family. Hugo lets Tommy know the bottom line: Expedite the Ghost assassination or else his dog won’t be the only loved one he will lose. Tommy finally answers Ghost’s messages to meet.  All Tommy has to do is pull the trigger and the drug operation, and peace of mind, will be his. That same hesitation that caused Tommy to avoid Ghost, causes him to balk on killing Ghost.
