Can Wonder Woman save the DC Movies franchise? With the criticisms that followed Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel, the overall hate that rained down on Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, and the disappointment that plagued Suicide Squad, DC is praying to their new gods that Wonder Woman helps create a new slate and get the DCU back on track.
During the MTV Movie Awards the latest and final action-packed trailer to the highly anticipated Wonder Woman seems like it could be the sleeper hit of this summer while beautifully setting up the upcoming Justice League film.
The origin story is set to take place during World War I with the main villain, Doctor Poison [that name must’ve been badass in 1918, but it’s as cheesy as Laughing Cow today], is using poison gas on a scale never seen before. The plot sounds lame but the trailer will prove otherwise. Check it out below and let us know if you’ll be checking for Wonder Woman come June 2.
