Eminem made sure that a group of graduating high school seniors went back home with more than a diploma.
The Detroit rapper gifted 230 Flint area students with some free Beats By Dre headphones during their graduation ceremony. The surprise came with an encouraging message that played over the speakers as Em’s face was flashed on the screen.
“What’s up Class of 2017? This is Eminem,” the message started. “I just want to say congratulations to the graduating seniors of Flint Northwestern, Flint Southwestern and Flint Accelerated Learning Academy. Congrats to all you guys’ hard work, man. You earned this moment.”
After that, the students were told about their surprise, to which the responded like any other 18-year old would. The students were handed their headphones right after they grabbed their diplomas.
