Oklahoma City Thunder superstar guard Russell Westbrook was named the NBA’s MVP at last night’s NBA Awards. Was there any doubt considering he averaged a triple double for the season?
Wesbrook’s honor, he beat out Houston Rockets guard James Harden and San Antonio Spurs guard/forward Kawhi Leonard, closed out the first annual show.
During his acceptance, Westbrook shed real tears while thanking his parents for all their sacrifice.
Respect.
Westbrook also got honored by Jordan Brand (with bars from Phonte of Little Brother and Foreign Exchange fame) and Samsung for his new trophy. Peep the spots below and on the flip.
