Jemele Hill landed in a bit of hot water after her tweets slamming Kid Rock and President Donald Trump caught the attention of her employers at ESPN. Colin Kaepernick, Dwyane Wade, and NBA Hall of Famer Reggie Miller all took to Twitter to rally around the SportsCenter co-anchor.

Kaepernick wrote, “We are with you @Jemele Hill,” complete with a Black fist emoji late Tuesday night. As expected, the response to the now-viral tweet has been racist, insulting, and flat out relentless with some users countering with points in support of the free agent quarterback.

Much later, Reggie Miller, now an analyst for TNT and current Chicago Bulls guard Wade chimed in with their own tweets rallying around Hill.

“I’m on Team @JemeleHill,” Miller wrote, with Wade replying to the tweet to sign him up as well. Not surprisingly, the tweets from the basketball greats didn’t garner the same level of vitriol that Kap experienced, but we can pretty much assume that’s because Kaepernick’s unapologetic stance against police brutality and bigotry has yet to waver despite it all.

Jemele Hill’s Twitter feed has been noticeably quiet but she did respond to some of the haters who tried to come for her with her usual expert with.
