Rihanna's 3rd Diamond Ball Brings Out The Stars In New York

Rihanna knows how to put on an event, make no mistake about it. At the Barbadian superstar’s third Diamond Ball celebrity fundraiser, many of today’s brightest stars came out in support.

The Diamond Ball event supports the Clara Lionel Foundation, Rihanna’s benefit organization that supports education and health programs globally. The last gala was held in 2015, and the first two were both held in Los Angeles. This year’s ball took place at Cipriani Wall Street in Manhattan, with stars like Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Cardi B, Yo Gotti, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Kendrick Lamar, who performed a handful of songs.

Dave Chappelle served as the event’s host and led an auction that had prizes such as tickets to the Obama Foundation Fall Summitt in Chicago, an autographed large-format bottle of Jay-Z’s Armand de Brignac, and other gifts. According to reports, the event raised $800,000 for Rihanna’s foundation. And speaking of Barack Obama, the former president left a special video message of thanks that played during the Diamond Ball festivities.
