Tonight, Star Wars fans will get two treats in one swoop. Lucas Films will not only release the latest trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi during Monday Night Football, but tickets for the highly-anticipated sequel will go on sale at the same damn time.
Hook, line, and sinker.
According to Deadline, the trailer is set to debut at halftime of the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings game and will more than likely be the best part of that horrible matchup of a game.
Disney used a similar tactic for Star Wars: The Force Awakens back in 2015 and raked in $100 million while causing some websites to crash due to Skywalkin’ fanaticism.
Who knows how much tonight’s advance ticket sales will muster up but you can bet your bottom dollar that with the cliffhanger that Force Awakens left everyone on, it’s going to set some kind of record.
