LeBron James became the hero we all needed after he threw a Twitter jab heard around the world towards President Donald Trump. The social media network listed its top retweeted tweets of 2017, with the Cleveland Cavaliers star’s “U Bum” shot making him the most retweeted athlete of the year.
In Twitter’s Moments section, nine of the top retweeted tweets appeared, including a number of entries from former President Barack Obama and singer Ariana Grande.
Among the selection, James was the lone professional athlete proving not only his cultural significance but just how much discussion Trump sparks no matter what side of the aisle one stands on. The tweet was shared just under 661,000 times and liked 1.5 million times.
