La La Anthony‘s acting career’s been on fire lately with roles in hit series such as Starz Power & BET’s The New Edition Story and now she’s locked down a recurring role on the Fox series Star.
Deadline is reporting that the former MTV VJ is slated to take on the role of Paola who happens to be the estranged mother of Angel (Evan Ross) whose somehow linked to Jahil (Benjamin Bratt). According to the same report the Migo’s Quavo is set to make a guest appearance on the series as himself in an upcoming episode.
For those who aren’t familiar with Star it’s a series co-created by Lee Daniels and Tom Donaghy and revolves around three starlets hoping to make it big in a shady music industry. It also shares the same universe as the Fox smash series Empire.
