“Mr Nike Boots” Wale announced to his fans via Twitter that his album originally slated for a September release, will be pushed back to October. The DMV (D.C./ Maryland/ Virginia) MC tweeted to his fans Thursday night saying:

“Album pushed back..got more work to do..its a small thing to a boss.”

He then followed up Friday morning explaining to his fans that clearing samples were the reason for the pushback and expressing interest in touring on college campuses.

“Clearing samples ftswindle…BUT..i want to tour BIG this fall…im tryna go to more colleges then randy moss.haaa no really that was funny.”

The D.C. ambassador encouraged his fans to be patient and in the meantime support the September releases of Kid Cudi, Jay-Z and Melanie Fiona.

“Just found out why my album pushed back…its gonna be the hottest october ever! in the meantime yall got cudi hov melanie fiona”

Originally set to drop September 22, Attention Deficit will feature K’Naan and Bun B with production from Mark Ronson and Cool and Dre. Wale also told HipHopWired that he plans to be the next force in Hip-Hop. He said, “Just know that I want to win. Self-motivation, you know what I’m saying? I have a chip on my shoulder mentality. It’s almost a mnemonic device that I give myself to never really embrace the good, you know, where I always feel like I’m being overlooked, I always feel like the underdog, I always feel like the people don’t believe yet, my own people don’t believe yet. So, I work, I let it show in my work.”

In prelude to the album he released his Back To The Feature mixtape which has over 80,000 downloads on the web. His single “Chillin” featuring Lady Ga Ga is currently climbing the charts and is a staple on BET’s “106 & Park” countdown.
