T.I. made headlines Wednesday when the rapper helped police talk a suicidal man down from a high-rise rooftop.

According to CNN, T.I., who is set to appear before a federal judge tomorrow, drove over to Atlanta’s Colony Square building where the man was pacing on the roof of the 22-story high-rise.

After hearing about the situation on V-103 FM which is housed in the Colony Square building, police report that the rapper drove down to see if he could help.

Atlanta Police spokesman James Polite released a statement on T.I.’s help saying,

T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, talked to the man about how a person “can make it through anything…T.I. just happened to be in the right place at the right time.”

Police report that T.I. “appeared out of nowhere” and helped them convince the man that “life’s not that bad” through a video message before meeting with him in the building’s lobby.

The man was taken to a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation and has not been charged with a crime.

At tomorrow’s court date a judge will decide whether to revoke his probation and sentence him to as much as 14 months behind bars.

Check out T.I.’s rescue efforts below.

Following the successful rescue of the jumper, who’s now been identified as Joshua, T.I. called in to V-103’s Ryan Cameron Show to speak on the situation.
