Rapper T.I. has just been sentenced to 11 months behind bars.
As previously reported, he was arrested on September 1 with his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle after police smelled marijuana in his vehicle.
He later tested positive for ecstasy.
Lawyers for T.I., 6 in total, were recommending 5 to 11 months for the rapper who violated his probation.
A source inside the court house says the rapper admitted to taking drugs but only for pain associated with dental work.
His wife Tiny was not sentenced.
A small fire broke out at the court house just before sentencing.
T.I. was previously incarcerated for felony weapons charges after being found with machine guns and silencers.
