Then Hollywood wastes no time in breaking her image down. If you ask him, he would probably say he’s just telling her what the industry is really about. But to everyone else watching, it just sounds like old-fashioned colorism. It’s dope that the producers found a way to show its existence in the Latino community but heartbreaking to see Hollywood mock La Negra mercilessly on national television.

Still, she handled herself well considering the situation. He threw up the Black Power fist and laughed. He called her a “Nutella Queen.” He asked her about the Afro and told her that she needed to change her look because Afros can’t be elegant.

She reminded him that she’s Afro-Latina and he teases, “Afro-Latina Queen. So are you African?” She should’ve smacked his face off, but she walked out, which was an even better response.

Gunplay is on the show too. And we love Gunplay. His woman, however, is having issues convincing him that moving back to his native Miami would not be wise. She’s concerned about his being tempted by the streets… And the skeezers. Much to her chagrin, his mind is made up. The foreshadowing of a session with Miami dancer/rapper Tip Drill alludes to some improper happenings that look to be occurring sooner than later. Gunplay admits to the confessional camera that he smashed a while back but his girl “don’t have to know.” Playing with fire, because she asked specifically which women he planned on working with back home. He mentioned Tip’s name and purposely omitted their history. Yikes.
