Ochocinco’s Attempt At Bull Riding Lasts 1.5 Seconds

There are a lot of things that can be said about NFL wide receiver Chad Ochocinco, but ‘scared to try to try new things’ is not one of them.

In his latest NFL lockout fueled stunt, the Bengals wideout tried his hand at bull riding in the Professional Bull Riders circuit over the weekend, only lasting 1.5 seconds on the mammoth beast before being thrown to the dirt.

The most important thing is, 85 walked away from the event unscathed.

Chad had set out to ride the bull for 8 seconds, for which he would have won a Ford Truck and the right to name the bull – which he previously stated he would name after his coach, Marvin Lewis.

The publicity stunt started on Twitter earlier this month, with Chad taking up the challenge and practicing for two days prior to the event. But in the end, his inexperience and the bull – nicknamed Deja Blu – were to much for the pass catcher. Cinco did however earn $10,000 for making it out of the starting gate.

Ochocino has attempted a number of tasks this extended offseason including attempting to play major league soccer.

As far as bull riding goes, Ochocinco says, “One and done.”
