Bernice King Departs Eddie Long Church
Dr. Martin Luther King’s daughter Bernice King will no longer serve as an elder at Bishop Eddie Long’s New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.
According to WSB-TV Atlanta, Bernice King’s last day at Long’s Lithonia, GA church was this past Sunday.
Reports state that King’s exit was previously planned, and is not relate to the sex scandal and settlement surrounding Bishop Long (but you shouldn’t believe everything you read).
Rev. King is scheduled to make an announcement about her departure and discuss her future plans as a guest on Priase 102.5 today at 4 p.m.
Just last week, the sexual misconduct case against Bishop Eddie Long was dismissed after a settle between Long and his accusers was reached.
