Sean Kingston Given 6 Week Recovery Plan

Singer Sean Kingston, who is still recovering in a Miami hospital from injuries he received Sunday (May 29) in a watercraft crash, is expected to make a full recovery according to sources close to the situation.

The “Beautiful Girls” singer suffered a broken jaw, a fractured wrist and water in his lungs when he and a female passenger crashed a Sea Doo into the Palm Beach Bridge on Sunday.

Kingston and the  female passenger were rescued by an off duty Coast Guard service member and taken to a nearby hospital with Kingston listed in critical but stable condition.

Sources now tell CNN that his wounds will take up to 6 weeks to heal.

The female passenger in the accident Cassandra Sanchez, 23, who was seen and discharged from the hospital says speed was a factor in the crash because the singer was going “really fast.”

Sanchez says she even screamed out, “We can’t fit under there! Are we going to try and go under there? Sean, stop!,” right before impact.

Witnesses say Kingston’s life vest fell off during the collision causing him to bob below the water and the singer was seen by rescuers coughing up blood.

Sanchez told TMZ that she doesn’t totally fault Kingston for the accident and doesn’t plan on making this a legal matter.

“I know this whole thing was just an accident,” she said. “I won’t be pressing any type of charges or hiring a lawyer. Sean is a good guy.”

Reps for the singer said he was “aware of what is going on around him” and that he was “sedated but fully conscious,” immediately following the accident.

Kingston has most recently been characterized as very responsive.
