Kanye West hasn't decided to drop out of the 2020 Presidential Race after all. According to TMZ, Kanye West has indeed continued with his presidential run by officially registering as a candidate. On Thursday (Jul 16), Yeezy completed the first round of paperwork with the Federal Election Commission. Filing out the State of  Candidacy form, Kanye reveals that he met the minimum requirement of raising at least $5000 in campaign-related expenses, which allowed him to officially add his name to the ballot under the federal campaign law.

Vivica Fox is all for a Kill Bill sequel, but with a new spin. During an interview with NME Vivica Fox revealed her ideas for the follow up sequel, that will be the first in 17 years, to the cult classic. The actress, who played Vernita Green in the 2003 classic and now stars in drug kingpin thriller Arkansas, confirmed last month that Quentin Tarantino and Uma Thurman were in talks with the real possibility of a sequel.

On Saturday (Jul 11), Tory Lanez decided to drop his new song inspired by Jada Pinkett's now-infamous Red Table Talk interview with husband, Will Smith, discussing the then rumored "entanglement" with singer August Alsina. After the jokes began to fly, Tory Lanez weighed in sharing his remix to Lil Biby and 42 Dugg's "We Paid", Lanez made sure to announce where his allegiance lies, calling out the Forever and a Day singer for "snitching" about the affair.

Amy Cooper may have thought that she was instilling fear when she filed a false call against Black birdwatcher, Christian Cooper, but instead turned her own life upside leading to a felony charge. According to published reports, despite the unwillingness of the victim Cooper to cooperate, the New York District Attorney's office has reportedly decided to move forward with the prosecution of Amy Cooper for the May 25th filing of a false police report on Mr. Cooper, claiming he was "threatening her life."

It seems that the reckoning of the United States is having a positive impact on decisions for all people of color. On Thursday (Jul 9) In one of its final rulings of the year, the U.S. Supreme Court released a decision that designates a large portion of Oklahoma as tribal territory.  Conservative Justice Neil Gorsuch, an appointee of President Donald Trump, sided with the court's four liberal judges in the landmark decision, according to The New York Times.

A Black business owner was forced to pull herself together after being attacked by a racist over her store's mask policy. According to a local publication, ALX Now, Abyssinia Market & Coffee House, a Black-owned Virginia based coffee shop was vandalized and the owner, Lily Damtew, was spat on after asking a white customer to wear a mask, a new policy Damtew enforced upon the reopening of her store.

Iconic family sitcom, The Wonder Years, is coming back to TV, only this time it's going to be all Black. According to published reports, the 1988 coming-of-age dramedy set in the late 1960s and early 70s that told the story of teen Kevin Arnold (played by Fred Savage) and his suburban family, is now getting a reboot that will tell the story of American life during the pivotal Civil Right Era from a Black perspective. Produced by Lee Daniels, the reboot will be set during the same time period, except it will focus on a Black family in Montgomery, Alabama.

The WNBA may have been conveying a message of togetherness with the Black Lives Matter PSA, but according to players, Republican Senator Kelly Loeffler doesn't practice the sentiment at home. According to published reports, WNBA players are calling for Senator and Atlanta Dream co-owner Kelly Loeffler to step down after she called the Black armed protesters who gathered at the headquarters of the Ku Klux Klan in response to public threats against Black Americans, a "mob rule" during an interview with FOX News-despite open carry being legal in the state of Georgia.
