Directed by Taylor and frequent collaborator Rafael Gutierrez serving as director of photography, the visual for her latest release features the happy couple and daughter Junie happily jumping into bed. As Junie excitedly pushes Iman’s hand away from Teyana, the plush white comforter sweeps back revealing Teyana’s baby bump, breaking the news that the couple is expecting another daughter.

At a time when the Black community is demanding answers for the death of Black Americans at the hand of police, the murder of 26-year old Breonna Taylor has begun getting the microscopic treatment and the results so far are disheartening. On Wednesday (June 10), the Louisville Metro Police Department released the incident report for the night of March 13, when three plainclothes officers used a battering ram to break into Breonna Taylor’s apartment, where she was shot by LMPD eight times and killed immediately. Despite the evidence from the homicide, the report is almost blank.

After hosting memorials in Minnesota and North Carolina, the family and friends gathered of George Floyd gathered for one more final time in Houston, Texas, earlier this week for the funeral laying Floyd's remains to rest. Following a public viewing on Monday in which over 6,000 mourners paid their respects, George Floyd was laid to rest at the Fountain of Praise church in his home town of Houston on Tuesday (Jun 9). The nearly three-hour event was filled with moments of encouragement, comfort, and reflection as speakers came to share their condolences with the Floyd family. Hundreds of mourners filled the pews for the 11 a.m. service, as his family, friends, and prominent guests, including Jamie Foxx, Channing Tatum, and Al. B. Sure celebrated the life of the 46-year-old and called for a total reform of the police practices that led to an officer pressing his knee into Floyd’s neck for eight minutes, killing him.

NBA star Russell Westbrook has stepped into the arena of films by announcing that he is producing a series centered around the 1921 Tulsa race riots. On Tuesday (Jun 9), the Houston Rocket guard announced via Variety that he was executive producing the series, titled "Terror In Tulsa: The Rise And Fall Of Black Wall Street" in collaboration with documentary filmmaker Stanley Nelson and the production company Blackfin.

On Sunday (Jun 7), news began to spread that a majority of the Minneapolis City Council has announced plans to defund and disband the city’s police department. J. According to published reports, on Saturday (June 6), #HBCUs4BlackLives: Centering Our Youth announced an HBCU protest will be taking place in Atlanta to give the youth a chance to share their thoughts on the current state of affairs in our country.

City officials in Louisville have unanimously passed Breonna’s Law that severely limits and monitors no-knock warrants in the city. According to local news station, WAVE3, the new law includes a rule about body cameras that states all officers must be wearing them and must activate them at least five minutes before any warrant is executed, noting that the videos from all warrants executed will be held for at least five years.

On Wednesday (June 3), Amber Rose took to Instagram to stand in solidarity with everyone fighting the cause for change including Black Lives Matter, LBGTQAI, and those who are advocating to legalize sex work. "I'm Pro Black af, Pro LGBTQ af, Pro Hoe, Pro Sex Work, Pro-Choice," Rose wrote. "If ur Fatphobic, Transphobic or ever screamed 'All Lives Matter' get the f*ck off my page."

The cause of death for actor Gregory Boyce and his girlfriend, Nigerian model Natalie Adepoju, has officially been ruled as an overdose, According to Page Six,  the Clark County Coroner confirmed that the couple died from an accidental overdose of fentanyl and cocaine, before officially declaring it an accident. The news comes just a few weeks after Boyce and his girlfriend were found dead in their shared Las Vegas apartment. As previously reported, Boyce, who was most known for his role as Tyler Crowley in Twilight, was found dead on May 19 along with his girlfriend after officers were dispatched to the residence, responding to a “dead body” call.

Six Atlanta police officers are facing charges after reportedly pulling two college students from their car and using excessive force after pulling them over during the George Floyd protests while they were stuck in traffic. On Tuesday (June 2), during a press conference, the Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard announced the charges against the officers after video footage from the traffic stop went viral showing the officers pulling 22-year-old Messiah Young and his girlfriend 20-year-old Taniyah Pilgrim from a stopped vehicle before using a stun gun on the two students who were pleading that they were "just trying to get home."
