Let me just start by saying—all words are made up. Language wasn’t bestowed on us on holy tablets and delivered by Advanced Placement Moses so that our tongues would know what to do with themselves. Language was developed by people—who made up words. 

A new course for AP students seeking to earn college credit is devoted to teaching about the comprehensive African-American experience. The College Board has made the program available to 60 unnamed high schools across the country, with plans to expand nationwide to all interested high schools in the 2024-2025 school year.

The Chadwick A. Boseman Memorial Scholarship has been officially established at Howard University, thanks to a generous gift from Netflix. It will be awarded to students of the College of Fine Arts who show great talent and have financial hardship.
