The highly anticipated ladies' night edition of Swizz Beatz and Timbaland's #Verzuz Battle between 112 and Jagged Edge kicked off as promised, but after bad audio spoiled the party it seemed more like deja vu than a dream come true. On Monday (May 25), 112 and Jagged Edge faced off on Instagram Live with many fans hoping the showdown would finally put to rest the great debate of who had the better catalog between the two 90s crooning groups, but instead the battle itself drew criticism after static and bad audio ruined the overall mood for the event.

The #Verzuz battle series keeps getting better and better. Earlier this week after a legendary showdown between Ludacris and Nelly, Swizz Beatz and Timbaland announced that they were easing the stress from quarantine by taking the showdown to the islands with a monstrous battle between Dancehall icons Bounty Killer and Beenie Man--but the duo stepped it up even bigger with a battle for the ladies between 112 and Jagged Edge, making this the biggest weekend for the online series.

Sean “Diddy” Combs was the target of an Instagram rant from Mason “Mase” Betha, who claims he’s been fighting to get his publishing rights back from the Bad Boy Records founder. Former 112 lead singer Q says he stands with Mase and his group also signed a similar deal back in the 1990s.

Kanye West and 112 are collaborating on Christian music. This intel comes from Slim of the R&B group, so take that as you will.

R&B group 112 was back again but is now off again. Two members of the quarter have left the group.
