With T3 at the helm, the newly formed Slum Village returns with another jam from the forthcoming Dirty Slums 2, titled “Riot.” Rapper Big Pooh, Joe Scudda, and Kam Corvet assist Slum Vil in their lyrical efforts on a track featuring a lulling melody, layered with knocking drums.

It’s clearly a Detroit thing on this new Slum Village track, featuring founding member T3 along side long time affiliate and new member, Young RJ, and Guilty Simpson. The track is eloquently titled “Decadence.“ Those who are privy to underground Hip-Hop know each MC’s lyrical prowess goes without saying.

DJ Mick Boogie and the good people over at Adidas drop this brand new mixtape in celebration of the (now postponed) debut of the Brooklyn Nets. Along with SLAM and XXL, Talib Kweli, Tanya Morgan, Skyzoo, Troy Ave, Mr. MF’n eXquire and Nitty Scott, MC all appear on this project.

Now this is a bright spot in a day filled with Hurricane Sandy news. MC Lyte comes through with an all-new cut called “Dope Style.” The song is the second single from the forthcoming DJ Mick Boogie hosted #brooklynoriginals mixtape that is being released in collaboration with adidas Originals, SLAM, and XXL.
