Nelson Mandela was released from a South African hospital Sunday (April 8) after nearly two weeks of treatment.  Mandela was hospitalized for a lung infection, later revealed to be pneumonia.

Nelson Mandela was rushed to a South African hospital early Thursday (March 28), and is being treated for a lung infection. This is the second time in recent months that the 94-year-old has been hospitalized for the same ailment.

An 8-year-old South African boy wed a 61-year-old woman, after he was instructed to do so by the ghost of his ancestor.  Little Sanele Masilela wed Helen Shabangu, who is already married and has five children.

A South African mother was sentenced to 11 years in prison Thursday (Oct.25) for setting her sons on fire. Noluthando Nomavayi, 37, poured paraffin on her two sons as a punishment for smoking, and one child died from his injuries.
