It’s safe to say Pharrell Williams is already man of the year. Next on his agenda is his Spring/Summer 2014 collection of tees and hats with Japanese retail biggie Uniqlo.
It pays to have friends in high places. As if he needs it, Pharrell Williams’ latest business venture is with clothier Uniqlo, a company his longtime friend and BAPE founder, Nigo, currently has a position as Creative Director.
Artists like Pharrell and Clipse may have put BAPE on the map, but it was Japanese fashion designer, DJ, and producer Nigo who founded A Bathing Ape. Having parted ways with his brainchild, the creative now services clothing mainstay Uniqlo as their Creative Director.
