David Banner and Hip-Hop Unite To Fight Chicago Violence
The Derrion Albert murder shook the nation to its core, spotlighting a growing problem in the Chicago area. Especially touched by the tragedy was David Banner who teamed up with producer, 9thWonder for the release of the song “Something's Wrong” in tribute to the young boy and others affected by the Windy City's violence. Now Banner's enlisting the help of some of his Hip-Hop affiliates for the video shoot which will also serve as an anti-violence rally.
Contributing to Banner and 9th Wonder's cause are Twista, Rhymefest, Naledge, Skooda Chose, AK , Crucial Conflict, Malik Yusef and The Cool Kids. Also in attendance will be Tiffany from the Bad Girls Club, family and friends of victims of violence, Chicago public school students, community churches, politicians and local residents.
MTV is highlighting the event and sending Sway to cover the video shoot for an in depth documentary on violence in the area.
The video shoot and rally takes place tomorrow at Chicago's George's Music Room
