Johnny Lee Clary was a man that believed the only “good” Black man was one that was hanging from the end of a noose, but now, he would rather help his fellow man and has taken an largely unconventional step to do so.

The former imperial wizard within the Ku Klux Klan started ministering several years ago, choosing the call of God over the whims of bigots and is now ministering to one of the largest mega-church’s in America, St. Stephen’s Cathedral Church of God in Christ.

Clary is the newest member of the Church of God in Christ’s ministerial staff, a major feat considering that he was only formally ordained one month ago.

“The worst thing I ever did was swear an allegiance to the KKK, vowing to hate all Jews and Black and people of other races,” said the former Klansman, “I knelt before the Klan leaders as they sprinkled me with water. I then swore an oath to the KKK and the god of the KKK…It doesn’t matter…their god is not the God of the Bible.”
