Ohio Teacher In Hot Water For Burning Cross Into Skin of Students

A teacher currently in a battle to keep his job might have shot himself in the foot, figuratively speaking.

John Freshwater, formerly a teacher at Mount Vernon Middle School in Columbus, Ohio, was fired after an internal investigation concluded that he burned crucifixes into several of his students with a high-frequency generator while preaching Christianity during class.

While on trial, Freshwater denied teaching Christianity in the classroom or having ever surveyed students in his eight-grade science class.

Unfortunately for him, questionnaires given to the students surfaced, poking a hole in the misguided teacher's story.

When the forms were mentioned, Freshwater noted that it seemed school officials had “gone through” his classroom.

What a dunce. . .
