Allen Iverson Agrees To Contract With Team In Turkey
Allen Iverson To Play Basketball In Turkey
After posting 11 all-star game appearances, 4 scoring titles and delivering countless broken ankles, it finally appears Allen Iverson's services are no long wanted in the NBA, so it's on to the next one.
The Answer has agreed to sign a two-year contract worth $4 million to play with Besiktas of the Turkish professional league, according to Yahoo! Sports.
According to the report, Iverson turned down a more lucrative deal in China because he is more intrigued about the idea of playing in Istanbul.
Iverson is expected to sign the contract this week. Besiktas, a perennial powerhouse in the Turkish league, has already begun their season and stands at 1-1.
Iverson is expected to report to his new team sometime during the first week of November.
If last year was Iverson's last shot in the League, it marks a sad finale to the player whom many deem as the best little man to ever play the in the NBA.

That's your opinion...and you KNOW what erybody says about THAT?.."opinions" are "like" ***Holes!...erybody has one..lol)))))))))))
Damn, Allen! He doesn't have enough to stop playing and spend time with his family? I hope he invested wisely because the amount of money he was making during his prime "The Answer" years, there's no reason why all that money shouldn't be working for him now.
same ol story
Iverson can still compete in the NBA in my opinion, people just question his attitude. Dude had a right to be mad, he carried a bum franchise for to many years and they never gave him any help. The Pistons was a bad move, and going to Memphis was even worse. More than likely he still has money but the NBA just wanted to get rid of him, dudes in sports that speak their minds and dont kiss up usually get the boot.
Can you believe that Iverson will be in Turkey! He will be the most recognizable face in that country!
EXAAAAACTLY!
