I am very saddent to hear that Ms. Burt-Murray is leaving the magazine. I sent her an email over the Thanksgiving holiday with a picture of my granddaughter reading one of the Essence's issues back in March (The Magazine that she was reading was back in March). I want her to see that picture. It was so cute. Now I guess my email to her won't get published. I hope whoever replaces her will pickup her emails and respond to my email.

Thank you Angela for the five years you served as Editor-In-Chief for Essence Magazine.

I'm so sad she left. I met her during my mentorship program at Time Inc. She was a reason I never wanted to miss a copy even though I live in Africa.
I hope the person who replaces her will be as good as she was.
Wishing her all the best in ATL
