Breaking News: Soul Singing Legend Teena Marie Has Passed Away

Although details are slim, soul singer Teena Marie has passed away.

The singer known for her soulful hits such as "Lovergirl" and her lengendary duet with Rick James has passed at the age of 54.

WDASFM was one of the first stations to break the news when they tweeted:

"wdasfm We regret to inform you that Music Legend Teena Marie has died at the age of 54. Tributes and further  details soon at "

Roland Martin of CNN has confirmed that Teena has suffered a seizure while watching a movie.

tina had a history of siezures and it was years ago she suffered one i have followed her for years. yes fans it is true and i am amoung the music world family so i do know....i will miss u tina love and r.i.p....ur music family.

I too was born on 12/25i just found out that Tina marie's daughter was also born on that day, may she always be blessed with her beautiful mom's spirit,i am hurting for she was a great singer, as I write this I am listerning to the radio paying all of her songs,love you Tina Marie.
