Sara Stokes' Husband Arrested After Altercation In Georgia

Sara Stokes, who rose to fame as a member of P. Diddy's experimental group, Da Band, got into a physical dispute with her husband resulting in his arrest, according to TMZ.

According to reports, Stokes was visiting a friend in Georgia when she was confronted by her husband Tony Stokes with allegations that the singer had been unfaithful. The conversation escalated into violence with Tony allegedly, punching and choking Sara.

Tony was arrested and released on $2,000 bond according to TMZ.

The couple has a history of violence. In August 2009, Stokes was arrested for stabbing Tony in the arm with a knife in front of their three children.

Stokes was discovered during the second cycle of P. Diddy's hit MTV reality show, Making The Band. She was the only R&B singer in the six-member band that included rappers Dylan Dilinjah, Chopper, Babs Bunny, E-Ness and Freddy P. The group produced one album, Too Hot For TV in 2003 before disbanding to pursue solo careers.

Last June, Stokes sued singer/producer T. Pain, claiming the producer cheated her out of royalties for song they co-authored for R&B singer Jennifer Hudson.
