Cassie Compares Her Album To Aaliyah's, Wants To Work With Prince

R&B singer Cassie is set to make a comeback this fall with a new album and a new sound that she claims is reminiscent of Aaliyah.

The songstress, who's also known of her modeling and ties to Diddy, sat down for an interview with Nylon magazine where she compared her project to the late Aaliyah Dana Haughton's.

When asked to tell Nylon about her new album, Cassie responded,

“It's a cool blend of pop, Hip-Hop, and ska. It's urban Gwen Stefani meets Aaliyah. I hate referencing people but if you had to compare, that's it.”

 

She also added that her dream collaboration would be ‘The Purple One' himself.

“It's pretty unfathomable but I would love to work with Prince.”

 

Cassie's interview will be featured in the June/July issue of the mag.
