There’s no denying that Young Jeezy and Ne-Yo make for a good team on the “Leave You Alone,” single. The duo performed the track at Power 106’s PowerHouse 2012 concert over the weekend, and according Ne-Yo they might have another collaboration in the works—this time for the singer/songwriter’s forthcoming R.E.D. album. “We’ve been talking about some stuff,” Ne-Yo tells Hip-Hop Wired. “We’ve been tryna’ get in the studio, scheduling and all of that is messing us up right now, but I’m trying to get him on there before we go ahead and shut the whole thing down .The album’s not 100 percent done, but we like 99.999994. We definitely tryna’ get him on there before we close.”

In the case of “Leave You Alone,” Jeezy approached Ne-Yo to appear on the Warren G– produced track. “Jeezy came to me with the track already, he wanted to let me know Warren G produced it, and I was blown away my damn self, like ‘Wow, I ain’t even know Warren G was still on it like that.’ That was pretty much it. I told Jeezy a long time ago, ‘Yo you need me for something, call.’ He called, came through with the track, and the rest is history.”

With the release of his sixth album, the 32-year-old plans on keeping the guest appearances to a minimum, and explained the meaning behind his “Lazy Love,” single which was brought to life by way of a steamy music video. “It’s a little explicit, make sure your kids aint around when you watch this video, it is not for children, it’s for adults,”  he said. “It aint no nakedness but it’s damn close. I just wanted to make sure that the idea of the song was 100 percent brought across visually. It wasn’t for the sake of being raunchy, that’s not even my style, it’s about showing two people that are so into each other, that the rest of the world literally doesn’t even exist.”

R.E.D drops September 18.
