Meek Mill got caught up in a mini-nightmare when Philadelphia police “harassed and violated him,” last night.

The Philly rapper was scheduled to make an appearance at an Atlanta celebration, for the release of his Dreams & Nightmares debut, but ended up in handcuffs instead.

Mill was riding in a care pulled over by police late Wednesday (Oct. 1). No one was arrested, and authorities declined to explain the reasoning behind seeking out the vehicle, but the 25-year-old rapper came up  with his own idea. “I ain’t get locked up…definitely not in NYC with no gun! Cops just harassed and violated me last night in Philly just for being famous!” he tweeted.

While in cuffs, police took photos of the MMG star, one of which was posted on Instagram, but being that he was missing out on some money, he wasn’t happy about the flicks. “cops cost me a lot of money tonight …..taking pics of me like I’ma f-ckin joke….no charges just holding.”

It was not revealed if he was a passenger or a driver in the car, but given his past, the irony of being placed in handcuffs as his career takes off, was not lost on the young MC. “The crazy part about is I really had a handcuff and Rolex on my wrist yesterday…. Really #DreamsAndNightmares.”

Aside from his MMG crew, Mill’s the release features Drake, Mary J. Blige, Trey Songs and more.
