A Chinese official missed his flight at the Kunming Changshui International Airport, and decided to go completely crazy as a result. Yan Linkun, member of China’s Communist Party, pretty much destroyed everything he could get his hands on, and it was all caught on tape.
In the video Linkun is seen attempting to rip apart a sign as if it wronged him somehow, as a large crowd watched him do so. Airport security guards were among his audience, but were scared to interject in his “man vs. inanimate object” battle due to his high political ranking.
Linkun works as a political advisory body for the CCP. He, his wife, and 10-year-old sons, missed their flight on Feb. 5, but were put on another flight a day later. When they missed the second flight, the wife is seen yelling, but it’s Linkun who basically lost his sh-t, taking out his anger on the counter, and a computer keyboard.
Although the breakdown happened weeks ago, footage went viral over the weekend. Linkun has since apologized for acting like a lunatic. “My irrational actions and rudeness have caused some losses to the airport as well as bad effects to the public, so I sincerely apologize to the airport and public. I am willing to compensate.”
The apology however did not stop employer, Yunnan Mining Corp., from suspending him.
