Jamla lyricist Rapsody has some very profound things to say about society on her latest release, "Generation." It's bigger than Hip-Hop here, and we can't help but think the Trayvon Martin case partially inspired this tune.

Rapsody trades a verse with Mac Miller over melancholy production from 9th Wonder, while Jared Evan croons on a smooth chorus.

Both MCs share their views on why a change in mentality is essential to society's advancement — people with dated point of views were specifically in mind.

"Fisherman's buckets, double cups/Only lean on family and double on my dutch," rhymes on a  track where she claims "justice ain't for us." The bubbling artist shows hear gleams of hope in her later bars, which closes with "We don't see colors or class/We more powerful/Generations change, we rearranging their attitudes."

"Generation" is the second release from Rapsody's forthcoming Gangsta Grillz, She Got Game, due out August 20. Until then, get some enlightenment via "Generation" below.
