A Pittsburgh area rapper is in a world of trouble. Hardo, born Joseph Barnett, Jr., 21, was stopped by police in Wilkinsburg, Penn. on Sept. 10 for running a red light. While he was detained, the cops allegedly spotted a shopping bag with 250 baggies of heroin in his car and he was arrested.

CBS Pittsburgh reports that Barnett was not carrying ID and was driving with a suspended license. He also supposedly tried to run away before being tackled to the ground by authorities.

Hardo appeared on Mac Miller’s MTV show–the two met at Taylor Allderdice high school–and The Fader even referred to the rapper as Miller’s “muscle.” However, reps from Miller’s label, Rostrum, told Hip-Hop Wired that Hardo is not affiliated. Hardo, who was recently in jail for a parole violation stemming from his trip to Los Angeles to kick it with Miller, allegedly recently signed a $3 million dollar deal with Atlantic Records, with the aide of T.I., according to CBS Pittsburgh.

However, a press representative from the label told Hip-Hop Wired that Hardo is not affiliated with Atlantic Records.

Hardo, who claims that the car belonged to a hospitalized friend, is currently being held in Allegheny County Jail in Pennsylvania and has been charged with  drug possession with attempt to deliver, resisting arrest and attempt to escape.
