Here’s a treat for Hip-Hop lovers. Universal Music announced a new campaign coined Respect The Classics that will deliver a list of classic albums from artists like 50 Cent, Eminem, Common, Kanye West, and more.
On October 22, DMX‘s It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot will be the first of many more highly lauded projects of old to be remastered and re-issued for purchased. Next up is 50 Cent, whose debut Get Rich or Die Tryin’ will drops as a special edition platinum vinyl to commemorate its 10th anniversary November 12. Slick Rick’s The Great Adventures of Slick Rick and Public Enemy’s It Takes A Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back also release that day.
Find the entire list of LPs that will receive said treatment below. What other bodies of work would you like to see make a return? Give us your thoughts in the comments.
