If you’re looking for Dave Chappelle these days, he’s everywhere he wants to be except for where you actually would like to see him. The 40-year-old comedian, whose overdue for a proper comeback was recently spotted at the Kanye/A Tribe Called Quest show in NYC, (yeah, the one with Bonita Applebum) and days later, he hopped on a plane to China to catch Manny Pacquiao’s pay-per-view boxing matchup against Brandon Rios.

“I’m a fight fan,” Chappelle told Radio Rahim before making a playful remark about his financial status. “They built [a] Vegas in China in the past six years and I wanted to see that. And it was a top-notch prize-fight going on and I wanted to see the fight.”

As if having an unfiltered Dave Chappelle on candid camera wasn’t enough, Manny Pacquiao’s trainer, Freddie Roach gave his joint opinion on the matter. “I’m very happy with the gameplan and he followed it to a tee. He won every minute of every round,” Roach remarked.

Manny Pacquaio handily won a unanimous decision against Brandon Rios in Macau on November 23. As ESPN pointed out, the fight not only gave him his 55th win (38 by KO) but it was also China’s first ever pay-per-view event and allowed Pacman to give his homeland of the Philippines some positive press, which has been devastated by Typhoon Haiyan.

Dave Chappelle didn’t mind keeping it real when posed with further questions. “What am I an expert? I don’t know; I’m just a fan,” he casually stated.

Maybe Dave doesn’t actually need a stage to be funny. Watch the video below and prepare for some unintentional entertainment.
